The 57-year-old professional was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2020. Although Daly is still battling the disease, his uphill journey has been nothing short of inspiring. The golfer has not shied away from drinks and cigars, even as he is recovering from the illness. Moreover, the recent story shared on his social media handle showcases him sporting a beer glass while catching a movie.
The post, which was uploaded on Instagram Stories, shows the professional with three of his friends standing in front of a theater. John shared the picture with the caption “Get out and See THE HILL… bring the family!” as he gave a massive shoutout to the movie, which portrays the life of Rickey Hill, a former baseball player who had a debilitating disability.

His determination to play the sport led him to land a contract with the Montreal Expos in 1975 at the age of 19. But unfortunately, his career came to an end due to his disorder after four seasons in the minor leagues.
